Back on the Richardson Highway, head south to Thompson Pass (Mile 26) and destination Valdez.
THOMPSON PASS
Thompson Pass is an old time route through the mountains above Valdez. In winter, Thompson Pass is covered with snow. There still may be some snow left if you drive through the pass in June.
WORTHINGTON GLACIER

Use caution when hiking and walking in the area. It is dangerous to walk on or near a glacier without a guide because of falling ice and roc k.
