Delta Junction is a roadhouse and farm town at the official end of the Alaska Highway.
END OF THE ALASKA HIGHWAY
Delta Junction marks the end oftheAlaska Highway. Stop at the major intersection in Delta by the Visitor Center. After you 've gone inside to get visitor information from helpful locals, come outside and take a photo by the official "End Of The Alcan " sign at Mile 1422.
FROM UKRAINE WITH LOVE
Around twenty percent of Delta Junction's popula- tion was either born in Ukraine, or descended from someone who was. Russian and Ukrainian food is common in grocery stores and restaurants. There are more Ukrainians per capita here than anywhere in the United States.

The Alaska Highway ends at the Delta Junction Visitor Center. Stop here for information and directions. Delta Junction is an agricultural community that is located at the junction of the Alaska and Richardson highways and the confluence of the Tanana and Delta rivers. Delta has huge farms that raise crops and livestock. At heart, it's a cowboy town. This ranching community has 30,000 acres of farms that grow barley, oats, wheat and other crops, as well as dairy cows, beef & buffalo. This area was the original home ofTanana Athabascans living along the Tanana River.
