A Different Direction
Use the Parks Highway Bearfoot to explore the road between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Trav- el on the Parks Highway north, on your way to Denali National Park. You'll enjoy the commu- nities of Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, the Denali Park area, Healy and Nenana, as well as
warm and sunny Fairbanks. Day trips north of Anchorage easily reach Talkeetna, Trapper Creek and Denali State Park in just a few hours.

DAYTRIPS NORTH
Take the Glenn Highway north out of Anchorage. At Mile 35, the Glenn Highway exits the Parks Highway. Travel through Wasilla to reach points north on the Parks Highway.
Talkeetna (Turn at Mile 99 Parks Hwy.) An historic small town fourteen miles off the Parks Highway. Get out of your car and explore Main Street. Talkeetna is laid back, fun and a good place to slow down.
Trapper Creek (Mile 115 Parks Highway) Trapper Creek viewpoints offer sight- seeing ofthe south side of Denali.
Denali State Park (Mile 135 Parks Highway) Great viewpoints to see Denali. De- nali State Park has rest areas, camp- grounds, trails and a visitor center.
