Pratt Museum
This Homer museum, recently remodeled , has infor- mation about the many Native cultures of the area. Behind the Pratt Museum, there's the Harrington Cabin. It was home to a series of people arriving in Homer over the years. Stand outside the cabin and listen to actual audio narrations by long-time local residents, recalling their arrival and the time they spent in the Harrington Cabin.
Islands & Oceans Center
This Homer museum features natural history dis- plays about the largest seabird refuge in the world.
Real Beauty
Kachemak Bay is one of the most beautiful shel- tered bodies of water in Alaska. The drive down into Homer on a clear day is a strong reminder of the possibilities of the area.
Seldovia
Some local people live in remote cabins and com- munities on the water. Seldovia is a small town across the bay. Seldovia residents commute into town by boat and water ferry. You can visit Seldo- via on a water taxi, and experience a small Alaska coastal town with no road access.
