Farming Community of Kenny Lake
Farmers have been going organic in Kenny Lake for the last fifty years. Some farmers here grow private and commercial crops, and raise livestock and exotic animals. The homesteading set- tlement has a Community League which organizes the library, public well and social events, like the Kenny Lake Fair. Not a centralized town, "Kenny Lake" is more of a state of mind, stretching for miles along the Edgerton Highway.

The Edgerton Highway accesses Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and the McCarthy Road. This drive offers an interesting view of rural Alas ka life.
Edgerton Junction (Mile 0)
The Junction of the Edgerton Highway is located at Mile 82.5 of the Richardson Highway. Turn on the Edgerton to drive to Kenny Lake, Chitina, Wrangell-St. Elias Na- tional Park, and Kennicott and McCarthy.
Kenny Lake (Mile 7)

Liberty Falls (Mile 23.5)
Smallcampgroundanddayuseareawith a waterfall and river that can be easily viewed. It hasa public usetrail. Watchout for steep areas when climbing, especially withyoung children.
Chitina (Mile33)
An histori c railroad and supp ly t own . The trains ran here from Cordova.
Copper River Bridge (Mile 34)
Only bridge on the upper Copper River. Can offer views of Wrangell Mountains, fishwheels, and Chitina & Copper Rivers.
