A gateway to adventure, the Chitina Ranger Station is located at the end of the paved Edgerton Highway and the beginning of the gravel McCarthy Road. The McCarthy Road is one of only two roads into Wrangell-St. Elias. Chitina, Summer only: 907-823-2205.
The Kennecott Visitor Center is located within historic Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark, about 5 miles from the town of McCarthy. It's truly in the heart of the park and preserve. Kennecott Mill Town, Summer only: 907-205-7106.
The Slana Ranger Station is located at the begining of the Nabesna Road. This is a great place to plan your adventures in the northern portion of the park. Slana, Mile 0.5 Nabesna Road, Summer only: 907-822-7401.

Would you like to take a guided hike on a glacier, or raft a wild river? Come visit Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve! There are plenty of adventures to be found! Rafting, hiking, and sightseeing are all services provided by guided outfitters. You can plan your own adventure at the Copper Center Visitor Center. This facility provides information and history interpretation about the entire park, in addition to restrooms, a park theater, an exhibit building, and the Ahtna Cultural Center.
