LONG &WINDING ROAD Use special caution driving from Palmer to Mile 92, as the curves on the Glenn Highway are numerous and often blind. Bicyclists and less experienced drivers should be very alert when traveling in this area. Follow the advice of curve and speed signs. Due to recent road construction, the highway opens up greatly near the Matanuska Glacier and into Eureka Pass. Take your time on the drive , which is one ofthe most scenic routes in Alaska. If a lot of people are following your vehicle, simply pull over at roadside pull-outs and let them pass. Allow extra time for photography, bird watching and landscape viewing.

SHEEP MOUNTAIN
Eureka Summit (Mile 129) is the highest mountain pass	on	the	Glenn Highway, at 3,322 feet. From Eureka , you can see miles across the taiga, or boreal forest. The small spruce	trees	you	see
Sheep Mountain (Mile 113) is a great peak with a gold-colored rock expo- here are known as black
sure. Wildsheep can be seen, as white dots,	on	its	flanks.	The	mountain	is part ofthe Talkeetna Mountain Range.
