FISHING
There's good fishing in local lakes along the Glenn Highway for rainbow trout and grayling. Lake Louise also has burbot and large lake trout. Ask at lodges or watch for road signs to find fish- ing lakes. The Lake Louise area is a good place to go ice fishing.
SNOWMOBILE ACCESS
Snowy winters with freezing temperatures means that there are plenty of snowmobile trails near Lake Louise and elsewhere in the Copper River Valley. Trails loop for dozens, even hundreds of miles. Trail riding is an opportunity for beginners to learn, and for experts to ride without avalanche danger. Be aware of private property and any necessary permits when riding in the area.
