It's 6 miles back to An- derson. Besides its huge campground, Anderson is known for its Family Music Festival, a three day event with plenty of country and bluegrass music.
RIVER TIES
North of the Alaska Range, life, history, stories and songs are defined by the fabled mighty rivers that cross through it. For thousands of years, these riv- ers have been "roads" through the country. Genera- tions of people have made their lives around them. From ancient trading routes, to steamships, to the river barges of today, rivers connect many of the northern villages.
