DENALI NATIONAL PARK
WATCH A BEAR VIDEO
Go to the Denali Visitor Center at Mile 1.5 of the Park Road to see a backcountry safety video. The video follows a group of hikers who practice safe techniques. Many people focus on the danger of grizzly bears, but other wildlife, such as moose with calves, are also dangerous. Crossing even small streams, or walking on loose rocky slopes requires caution and training.

FIND A RANGER
Park rangers are well-trained individuals who have waited their whole lives for the opportunity to work in Denali, one of the premier National Parks. Rangers are here to help you, and the farther you go into the park the more you will appreciate the network of rangers, volunteers, and bus drivers. Ask at the Backcountry or Information Desks in the Denali Visitor Center, to see what hikes and events will work into your schedule. To find out nightly event schedules in your campground or around the park, check for posted schedules on bulletin boards.
