Head into Denali National Park on the Park Road, open to regular traffic up to Mile 15. To get beyond that point take a bus, bike, or even walk.
ROAD INTO THE PARK The Denali Park Road leads into the wilderness of Denali Nation- al Park. The road is paved until Savage River Bridge, about fifteen miles into the park. At that point, to get further, you 'll have to take a bus. You get on the bus and buy tickets at The Bus Depot, located at Mile 1 of the Park Road. Buses on the Park Road stop every 30 minutes or so for restroom breaks and wildlife viewing. You can get off and walk, or hike, at any point along the road. Ask rangers how you can make your bus ride unique, and incorporate adven- ture into your trip.

This is the main contact area of the park. It has two visitor centers, a bus depot, Riley Creek Campground, a mercantile store with showers& dump station, railroad depot, book store, cafe, park administration, post office
& sled dog kennel s. Savage River, Mile 13-15
Rest area, campground.

Drive-in campground, 3 night stay for vehicles. Bus riders can stay lon ger.
