Denali Views Denali is easily visible from the Lower Parks Highway and Trapper Creek. That's because no other mountains or moun- tain ranges obstruct the line of sight. The next best views of Denali are from Denali State Park. From Wonder Lake in De- nali National Park, the views are from the north side of the mountain. Views in Trapper Creek are from the south.

Road to Mines and a Southern Denali View The Petersville Road is an adventure road to old miningcamps,public miningareas, and scenic advent ure. There are many four-wheeler and knobby tire motorcycle opportunitiesin thisarea.
Moose Creek - Mile 7
Moose Creek, small recreational creek. Gravel Road Begins - Mile 10
Pavement ends, gravel road only.
Forks Roadhouse - Mile 19
Road forks. Turn left to Peters Creek. Right turn continues Petersville Road. Expedition vehiclesonly past this point. The roadhouse burned down in 2012.
Peters Creek Canyon - Mile 30
Scenic canyon, narrow road. Often impassable in spring.
Recreational Mining - Mile 32
Gold panning, managed by DNR.

If you're ready for adventure, take a detour on the Peters- ville Road. The start of the mines and land areas are
Petersville	Road	is	located at Mile 115 ofthe Parks High- way. This old mining road is a great place to go for a picnic, or to take a relaxing break from highway travel.
Paved For Ten Miles
The first ten miles of the Petersville Road are paved, so only go this far if you have a rental car that you can 't take onto gravel roads. (Check with your rental car company). You can go farther on the gravel road until the highway turns into an adventure motorcycle
