RIVER SALMON
The Long River
The Copper River Delta is near the town of Cordova. That's 290 miles south of the Copper Glacier, where the Copper River starts. At the Copper River Delta, juvenile salmon reach the open Pacific Ocean, where they spend their adult lives. Every summer, mature salmon swim back up the Copper River and other tributary rivers all through the Copper River region to spawn. The wide and braided Copper River can be seen from many viewpoints in the greater Cordova, Copper River Valley and Chitina areas.

A GOOD DAY
NOTA BUCKET LIST
Everyone on earth has things they want to see - or do - while they can, or while they are able. People have been coming to Alaska for years to visit the place they've heard so much about, and see the sights that are so unlike the rest of the United States. There are mountains, rare animals, and glaciers that have rested on rocky slopes for thousands of years. A simple boat ride may turn into the chance to see eagles fighting. An airplane ride may take to you to a peak only the most adventurous mountain climbers on earth have dared touch . This trip to Alaska is about the place, and a chance to connect with something deeper than the experience anyone person can have. The feel of a gravel road, the simplicity of a basic town, full of people everyone knows - make your trip about what can be seen, and what can never be seen again. Make today a good day, and have fun. Because when you open your eyes, this trip, in this part ofthe state, is anything but a bucket list. It's a chance to feel alive, and connected with everything around you - for as long as you can remember.
