Welcome To Kenai
You can reach the City of Kenai from the Ke- nai Spur Road near the Soldotna Fred Meyer store. Or, take the Kalifornsky Beach Road (UK-Beach") past the Soldotna Visitor Center. Both roads lead to the city.
Beautiful Old Town
Kenai has an historic district known as Old Town Kenai. Located off the Kenai Spur High - way, on Main Street, visitors walking here en- joy spectacular views of Cook Inlet.
Bearfoot Checkpoint: The City of Kenai is located at Mile11 of the Kenai Spur Road. Population about 7,100.
Where The River Meets The Sea
Kenai is a modern town that sits above the mouth of the Kenai River, where the river meets Cook Inlet. In the town of Kenai and surroundings, fishing is a way of life. Kenai has a rich Kenaitze and Russian history with historic churches and buildings.
Nikiski To The North
You can reach the town of Nikiski by heading north of the City of Kenai on the Kenai Spur Highway. After passing an industrial area, you 'll reach rolling, forested lake country. At Mile36 ofthe Kenai Spur Highway isthescenic Captain Cook Recreation Area with campgrounds and ocean front views. There's also a community recreation center in Nikiski.
